Your Secret Weapon For Finances? The myPioneer Budget Manager

It’s one thing to have a budget, to have a general idea of your monthly expenses, but it’s another beast entirely to track your budget. Keeping track of receipts, putting your purchases into your spreadsheet, and staying diligent is a lot of work you don’t have time for.

Don’t stress, we know how hard it can be to stay current with your budget. We have a secret weapon to make it a breeze; the myPioneer Budget Manager.

How Does It Work?

man, woman and child playing and looking at laptopThe myPioneer Budget Manager keeps track of all your purchases so you don’t have to. It connects to your Pioneer checking account or credit card and logs every purchase you make. Have a checking account or credit card from a different institution? You can connect it to the Budget Manager too.

From getting gas to paying for dinner, it’s all there. It keeps track of how much you spent and it puts each expense into a category like Home, Food, Shopping, Entertainment, and Bills.

Breaking Down Your Budget By Category

round circles used to visualize expensesThe Budget Manager puts each expense into a category to make it easy to see where your money is going. This includes one-off purchases and regular payments you make. As long as you use a connected account to make the purchase, it’s in the Budget Manager and categorized.

If you’re in the myPioneer Budget Manager, click the Budgets button near the top to get a visual representation of your expenses. This can give you a great idea of where your money is going this month. The larger the circle, the more money is going there.

From here, you can edit these categories and set budget goals. Some expenses that are the same month to month, like loan payments or rent, are easy to make goals for. Others, like shopping or food are harder to set. Put a goal that helps you save money, but is also reasonable.

Learn How You’re Spending Your Money

The Budget Manager has a lot of data on how you spend your money. You can see when you have the most money during the month, how your spending changes month to month, and even where your money is coming from if you have multiple income streams.

Use this data to make smarter goals for your budget and keep yourself honest. If you notice that you spend more money on certain months, dig into it to find out why. You can learn about your spending patterns and take steps to improve.
